MARILYN MANSON Sells Chatsworth Home For $1.025 Million

December 17, 2007

According to a posting on the Big Time Listings blog, Marilyn Manson has sold his house in the Chatsworth area of Los Angeles' San Fernando Valley for $1,025,000. The sale closed on October 3, and the deal was recorded on Halloween.

The 38-year-old musician purchased the five-bedroom house in his real name, Brian Warner, in early 2004 for $1.27 million, according to public records. He had since turned the garage into a recording studio. The house also has an office-library and a bonus room. There is a pool and a covered barbecue.

Gated, on slightly more than half an acre and perched above street level for even more privacy, the the one-story, 4,500-square-foot Mediterranean has Valley views. It was originally constructed in 1937 and was once owned by actors Barbara Stanwyck and Robert Taylor. It has distressed hardwood floors and has been completely rebuilt through the years.
